一般描述
番红 O 是一种异染性阳离子染料。在革兰氏染色中用作复染剂。该染色剂将革兰氏阴性菌染成粉红色至红色，对革兰氏阳性菌无作用。也用于评估软骨中的糖胺聚糖 (GAG)。染料染成深红色。易与聚阴离子结合。
应用
番红 O 已被用来染色基质蛋白多糖，研究小鼠软骨组织结构的完整性。它也被用于染色软骨分化的人骨髓基质细胞。
番红O用于染色眼外肌间充质干细胞（EOM-MSC），检测软骨、粘蛋白和肥大细胞颗粒 。也用作介质染料，进行细胞色素P450光谱分析。
认证为 Flemming 三重染色剂中染色体的染色剂；在革兰氏染色过程中对革兰氏阴性菌进行染色；番红-固绿 FCF 植物细胞染色剂。
