General description

Ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2 F (UBE2F), also known as NEDD8-conjugating enzyme 2 (NCE2) or MGC18120, is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome 2q37.3.

Immunogen

Peptide with sequence CHLRDKEDFRNKVDD, from the C-Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_542409.1.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2 F (UBE2F) acts as a neural precursor cell expressed, developmentally down-regulated 8 (NEDD8)-conjugating enzyme E2 in the neddylation cascade. It activates the polyubiquitin synthesis of cullin RING (really interesting new gene) ligase viral infectivity factor (CRL5Vif)-core binding factor β (CBFβ) complex in vitro.
