Antibody format: Antiserum

IgM consists of five basic Ig units, that are connected by a joining (j) chain. It has ten antigen binding sites. It is present on the surface of B lymphocytes.

IgM shows high efficiency in agglutination. The classical complement pathway is activated by IgM/IgG or by the accumulation of these antibodies.

This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by a delipidation and defibrination. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against Dog IgM and Dog Serum. No reaction was observed against Dog IgG.

Supplied in 0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium Chloride, pH 7.2

Reconstitute with 2.0 mL deionized water (or equivalent).
