Biochem/physiol Actions
5-溴脱氧尿嘧啶核苷（BrdU）是胸腺嘧啶核苷的类似物，用于以免疫化学方法测定活细胞中的DNA合成。BrdU 和cAMP、丁酸盐一起在各种哺乳动物细胞的细胞分化中起关键作用。在哺乳动物和酵母细胞中，它通过调节参与细胞分化的特定基因的表达，抑制细胞生长。在不合成DNA时，BrdU促进小鼠成神经细胞瘤C1300细胞分化，形成与成熟神经元形态类似的细胞。在哺乳细胞中，BrdU激活细胞衰老样现象。
