一般描述

微管由微管蛋白和其他几种名为微管相关蛋白 (MAPs)的蛋白质组成。微管蛋白是一种异二聚体，由一条α-链和β-链所组成，而两者的分子量均约为55,000。微管在分裂间期可形成精细的细胞质网络，并在细胞分裂期间重组成有丝分裂纺锤体。
微管蛋白是一种极度保守的带负电荷的蛋白质。它可以在所有真核细胞中表达，不过主要在脑中表达。

特异性

此产品可对培养的鸡成纤维细胞或3T3小鼠成纤维细胞中的微管蛋白进行染色。在免疫印迹中可能会出现其他的染色条带。

应用

兔抗微管蛋白抗体可用于免疫印迹和间接免疫荧光分析。

生化/生理作用

αβ-微管蛋白异源二聚体有助于形成微管。微管蛋白二聚体具有GTP酶活性、组装和分解性质。它能促进鞭毛器的构建。
