General description

Biochem/physiol Actions
脱铁转铁蛋白（aTF）是一种内源性铁螯合剂，通过清除游离铁和防止有毒活性氧（ROS）的形成对宿主起到保护作用。它对地中海贫血有治疗作用。铁释放后，受体结合的脱铁转铁蛋白到达细胞表面，而不是被运输到溶酶体降解。细胞表面具有中性的pH值，促进脱铁转铁蛋白从受体释放，在此处再次循环并结合额外的铁，以进一步将铁传递到细胞。
