Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.

Clone 9H11 is a ZooMAb rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects p10 subunit of Caspase-1. It targets an epitope within 17 amino acids from the C-terminal region of the p10 subunit of caspase-1.

Caspase-1 (UniProt: P29466; also known as EC:3.4.22.36; CASP-1, Interleukin-1 beta convertase, IL-1BC, Interleukin-1 beta-converting enzyme, ICE, IL-1 beta-converting enzyme, p45) is encoded by the CASP1 (also known as IL1BC, IL1BCE) gene (Gene ID: 834) in human. Caspases are secreted as latent single chain zymogens, which are further processed to create active caspases. Caspase-1 is a thiol protease that cleaves IL-1 beta between an Asp and an Ala, releasing the mature cytokine that is involved in a variety of inflammatory processes. It is a component of the inflammasome protein complex. It has a preferred cleavage site of Tyr-Val-Ala-Asp (YVAD).
