CX3C chemokine receptor 1 (UniProt: P49238; also known as CX3C chemokine receptor 1, C-X3-C CKR-1, Beta chemokine receptor-like 1, CMK-BRL-1, Fractalkine receptor, G-protein coupled receptor 13, V28) is encoded by the CX3CR1 (also known as CMKBRL1, GPR13) gene (Gene ID: ) in human. CX3CR1, or C-X3-C motif chemokine receptor 1, is a G protein-coupled receptor that primarily binds to the chemokine fractalkine (CX3CL1). This receptor is predominantly expressed on various immune cells, including natural killer cells, monocytes, and subsets of T cells, playing crucial roles in mediating cell adhesion and migration through its interaction with fractalkine. CX3CR1 is characterized by seven transmembrane domains typical of chemokine receptors. CX3CR1 is localized to the plasma membrane, where it orchestrates immune surveillance and inflammatory responses by recruiting leukocytes to sites of tissue injury or infection. The expression of CX3CR1 is notably high in the brain, particularly in microglia, implicating its involvement in neuroinflammatory processes. Dysregulation of CX3CR1 signaling has been linked to various pathological conditions, including atherosclerosis, where it contributes to monocyte recruitment to atherosclerotic plaques, and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer′s, where it influences microglial activation and neuroinflammation. Recent studies have also highlighted its potential as a therapeutic target in cancer, given its role in tumor cell migration and immune cell infiltration. Quality Control Testing
Evaluated by Western Blotting in LNCaP cell lysate.
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution of this antibody detected CX3CR1 in LNCaP cell lysate.
Tested Applications
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected CX3CR1 in lysates from Raji membrane, Jurkat membrane, human brain cortex tissue, and THP-1 cells.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis (ICC): A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected CX3CR1 in unpermeabilized RPMI 8226 cells.
Affinity Binding Assay: A representative lot of this antibody bound with CX3CR1 peptide with at least ten thousand-fold (10,000X) higher affinity than with non-specific control peptide.
Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens, and experimental conditions may vary with the end user.

Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

300 µg/mL after reconstitution at 25 µL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
