Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:10,000 dilution of this antibody detected Neuroligin-2 in U-2 OS cell lysate.

Tested Applications

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:10,000 dilution from a representative lot detected Neuroligin-2 in lysate from mouse brain tissue.

Affinity Binding Assay: A representative lot of this antibody bound with Neuroligin-2 peptide with at least ten thousand-fold (10,000X) higher affinity than with non-specific control peptide.

Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected Neuroligin-2 in human cerebellum tissue sections.

Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens, and experimental conditions may vary with the end user.

Clone 2H2 is a ZooMAb^® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that detects Neuroligin-2. It targets an epitope within 25 amino acids from the N-terminal half.

Neuroligin-2 (UniProt: Q8NFZ4) is encoded by the NLGN2 (also known as KIAA1366) gene (Gene ID: 57555) in human. Neuroligin-2 is a single pass type I membrane protein, a postsynaptic cell adhesion molecule that is part of the neuroligin family. It is characterized by a large extracellular domain (aa 15-677), a single transmembrane region (aa 678-698), and a small intracellular tail (aa 699-835). The extracellular domain is responsible for binding to neurexins, their presynaptic ligands, forming intercellular junctions. Neuroligin-2 acts at GABAergic inhibitory synapses, which plays key roles in governing the behavioral output of the brain. Altered function or expression of Neuroligin-2 is linked to various neurological disorders. Mutations or dysregulation can contribute to conditions such as autism spectrum disorders, schizophrenia, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
