Application

N,N,N′,N′-Tetramethyl-1,6-hexanediamine (TMHDA)can be used as an aminating agent to prepare anion exchange membranes for solidalkaline fuel cells. It provides cationic groups for better anionic conductivityand acts as a cross-linking agent to enhance dimensional stability. Theaddition of TMHDA combines functionalizing and crosslinking processes into asingle step.
