General description
o-Arsanilic acid on condensation reaction with methacryloyl chloride yields o-methacryloylaminophenylarsonic acid.
Application
o-Arsanilic acid was used in the determination of total arsenic in urine samples using nickel and palladium as matrix modifiers. It was used to study the inhibition of the binding of labeled anti-cross-reactive idiotype(CRI) preparations to a CRI+ hybridoma proteins by haptens in mice.

Previous reports have shown the A/J anti-para-azophenylarsonate (anti-Ar) antibodies that share a major cross-reactive idiotype (CRI) comprise a family of closely related but nonidentical molecules. Serological studies with CRI+ monoclonal anti-Ar antibodies have suggested the presence of a conserved idiotypic
