General description

Crystals of lithium acetate dihydrate belong to the orthorhombic crystal system. On irradiation CH3COOLi.2H2O crystals generates OH radicals. ESR study reports the g-tensor and hyperfine tensor values as (2.0038, 2.0071, 2.0457) and (-22.3, -45.8, +7.2G), respectively.

Application

Lithium acetate dihydrate (CH3COOLi.2H2O) may be used in the preparation of the solution of lithium acetate and single crystals of lithium acetate dihydrate.
