2,6-Dihydroxynicotinamide is an nicotinamide derivative. It can be prepared by the reaction of 1,3-dimethyluracil with malonamide in ethanolic sodium ethoxide, followed by the neutralization of reaction mixture with HCl.

2,6-Dihydroxynicotinamide may be used in chemical synthesis.
