General description

Silver-exchanged zeolite selectively removes halogens from gas streams and also serves as catalyst.

Application

Silver-exchanged zeolite is used:
  • As a catalyst in the low-temperature CO isotopic scrambling reaction.
  • To capture radioiodine from the vapor phase, which is then thermally converted into silver sodalite.
