General description

Pentaerythritol ethoxylate (15/4 EO/OH) is a branched polymer with pentaerythritol as a backbone. It can be used as a precipitant which can facilitate the screening and refinement of crystallization conditions.

Application

Pentaerythritol ethoxylate (15/4 EO/OH) has been used in the synthesis of tetrafunctional macroinitiator which can be used in the preparation of amphiphilic copolymers. It can also be reacted with 4,4′-methylenebis(phenylisocyanate)(MDI) which can be potentially used in the preparation of metallized polyurethane(PU) resins.
