General description

Poly(4-vinylpyridine) (PVP) is an effective matrix for the incorporation of transition-metal ions into polymer electrodes. Cross-linking of PVP was done by heating mixture of linear polymer, triallyl-substituted cross-linking agent and radical initiator. PVP can be cross-linked by necleophilic reaction.

Application

Poly(4-vinylpyridine) may be used as packing material for column chromatography.
