General description
Conjugated polymer. Exhibits blue photo- and electroluminescence.
Poly(9,9-di-n-dodecylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl) (PFDD) is a polyfluorene based conjugated polymer with thermotropic liquid crystallinity, that can be used as a blue-light emitting polymer in organic electronics.
Application
PFDD is used as a semiconducting polymer for use in the development of organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) and organic light emitting diodes(OLEDs). It forms a composite with carbon nanomaterials for obtaining high tensile films with improved conductivity.
