General description

Polyaniline (emeraldine salt) (PANI-EB) is a conductive polymer which consists of a ring structure attached with nitrogen substituted derivatives. It forms a blend with nylon as a substrate. The composite has a high dye absorption capacity with good thermo-mechanical properties. It has an emeraldine type oxidation state that exists in the form of its salt.

Application

Light colored conductive additive for thermoplastics and thermosets. Polyaniline-based organic and inorganic composites may be fabricated.,5 PANI may be used to prepare sensors for volatile organic compounds.
PANI-EB finds its usage in a variety of applications which include chemical sensors, absorptive micro-extraction, anticorrosive layer and microelectromechanical systems.

Packaging

Packaged in glass bottles

The application of conducting polymers at the interface with biology is an exciting new trend in organic electronics research.

While dye sensitization as the basis for color photography has been accepted for a very long time,1 attempts to use this principle for the conversion of solar light to electricity generally had resulted only in very low photocurrents, below 100 nA/cm

Research focuses on sustainable and cost-effective power generation systems to meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly energy sources.
