Application

6-Methoxy-2-(tributylstannyl)pyrimidine can be used as a reactant for the preparation of substituted pyrimidinone compounds via a Stille coupling reaction with aryl bromides. It can be also employed for the preparation of 4-methoxy-2-phenylpyrimidine by reacting with iodobenzene using Pd as a catalyst.
