Dimethylamine is an aliphatic secondary amine, known to be present in some foods like fish and seafoods.

Application

Dimethylamine can be used:
  • In the hydroaminoalkylation of alkenes using a transition metal.
  • To prepare dimethylformamide by reacting with carbon dioxide and hydrogen.
