General description

Rethink your bioinks with TissueFab®

About the material:

Fibercoll-Flex-A(R) is a bioink formulated of pure, fibrillary collagen type I, making it ideal for printing highly biocompatible scaffolds with embedded cells.

Printing and crosslinking parameters:

*Made of acidic collagen fibers, the Fibercoll-Flex-A(R) is neutralized after printing, enabling the printing of solid forms with exceptional shape fidelity at a higher stiffness range than the Fibercoll-Flex-N(R).
*Compatible with extrusion-based printing
*Does not require additional functionalization or crosslinking such as methacrylation or UV curing
*Easy and efficient extrusion-based printing at room temperature or up to 37°C, no cooling devices for printer required

As the only fibrillary collagen bioinks on the market, the Fibercoll-Flex(R) collagen bioinks are composed of pure type I collagen fibers with high mechanical strength that enables easy printing and abets the need for artificial modification such as methacrylation or UV curing. The acidic Fibercoll-Flex-A(R) enables printing of high fidelity structures at a higher stiffness range of 2-10kPa. The stiffness can easily be tuned for your specific application by varying the collagen concentration. 3D models are neutralized after printing and cells are seeded on top of the scaffold. These native fibrillary collagen type I bioinks represents an excellent in vivo like scaffolds that promotes cell performance.
