General description

Rethink your bioinks with TissueFab®

About the material:

The low endotoxin TissueFab® RGD DLP bioink, synthetic, Vis/405nm contains:

  • Low endotoxin, xeno-free, synthetic bioink precursor
  • UV photoabsorber

Printing and crosslinking parameters:

  • Suitable for DLP bioprinting
  • Photoinitiator-assisted crosslinking at 405nm wavelength (Visible light)

The TissueFab® RGD DLP bioink is a xeno-free, synthetic bioink designed for digital light processing (DLP) 3D bioprinting applications. Free from animal-derived components, it ensures batch-to-batch consistency and minimizes contamination risks, making it ideal for fabricating cell-encapsulated scaffolds. The bioink rapidly photopolymerizes when mixed with the Ruthenium photoinitiator kit (Cat#916881), resulting in high-resolution hydrogels with excellent structural integrity.

Functionally enhanced with the RGD peptide (Arginine, Glycine, Aspartic acid), this bioink promotes specific interactions with integrin receptors on cell surfaces, facilitating cell adhesion, migration, and proliferation. Biocompatible and biodegradable, the TissueFab® RGD DLP bioink is perfect for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. Leveraging DLP technology, it offers high precision and detail, making it a versatile and efficient choice for advancing bioprinting capabilities.

More information and a step by step protocol can be found under the "More Documents" section of this page.

Application

TheTissueFab® RGD DLP bionk can be used in a variety of tissue engineering, regenerative medicine and in vitro modeling applications including:
  • Musculoskeletal tissue engineering and regeneration: Supports the development of bone, cartilage, and skin by enhancing cell adhesion and promoting tissue integration.
  • Stem cell encapsulation and differentiation: Facilitates the effective encapsulation of stem cells, encouraging their differentiation into desired cell types through RGD-mediated interactions.
  • In vitro vascularized tissue modeling for drug discovery: Enables the creation vascularized tissues that mimic natural environments, improving the relevance of drug testing and discovery.
  • High-resolution printing to recapitulate microenvironments: Allows for the precise replication of complex tissue architectures, fostering optimal cellular responses and functionality through RGD interactions.

Features and Benefits

Each TissueFab® bioink is developed and tested to meet strict criteria to best suit researchers′ needs.
This includes:
  • High resolution printing: rapid polymerization compared to other 3D bioprinting technologies such as extrusion with optimized shape integrity and fidelity
  • Tunable mechanical properties: can be used in a variety of concentrations to better mimic native tissues
  • Cell viability and biocompatibility: A xeno-free biocompatible and biodegradable bioink that promotes cellular function *
  • Low bioburden and low endotoxin
