Cobalt(II) hydroxide, battery grade, with a purity of ≥99.9% trace metals basis, is a high-purity material used in several advanced applications, particularly in the energy storage and battery industries. In a study it has been found that double-shelled nanocages with two shells of cobalt hydroxide and layered double hydroxides (CH@LDH) designed for a Li-S battery, significantly improved the electrochemical performance.] Due to its redox properties, cobalt(II) hydroxide is employed as a precursor for the preparation of cobalt-based catalysts. These catalysts are used in various industrial processes, including the synthesis of fine chemicals, petrochemical refining, and environmental remediation. Cobalt(II) hydroxide is used in the production of soft magnetic materials, which are employed in electronic devices, sensors, and other applications requiring efficient magnetic properties.
