General description
Anise seed oil is an essential oil extracted from the plant, Pimpinella anisum. It is mainly used in as flavoring and fragrance ingredient and also in traditional medicine due to its therapeutic properties. It generally contains trans-anethole and γ-himachalene as the key components.
