General description
- Automatic microprocessor controlled temperature ramping for improved reproducibility

1. Reminder instructions printed right on the front of the unit
2. Apparatus prompts user to select a start temperature, heating rate, and end temperature
3. Unit heats to, and maintains, selected start temperature
4. Audible and visual alarms indicate when oven temperature is stable
5. User inserts capillaries, ramping is initiated by pressing the "RAMP" key
6. Onset and end of melting range is observed via built-in 6X lens and viewing lamp
7. Store melting range values by depressing the "STORE" key
8. High speed fan cools oven back to selected starting temperature to begin next test
