General description
18:1 Chol (D7) ester is a deuterated derivative of cholesteryl oleate (18:1 Cholester). 18:1 Chol (D7) ester is a component of Splash™LipidoMix™ standard from Avanti and is used as an internal standard in ultrahigh performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC)-mass spectrometry (MS) analysis for profiling cerebrospinal fluid lipids.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Cholesteryl oleate (18:1 Cholester) association with low-density lipoproteins (LDL) promotes atherosclerosis. The diet comprising monounsaturated fatty acids promotes cholesteryl ester secretion and association with lipoproteins.
