General description
C18:1 LPA is a bioactive lipid. This lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), soluble lipid is obtained from membrane phospholipid. It is present in blood plasma.
Application
C18:1 LPA is suitable to stimulate human embryonic kidney 293 cells (HEK 293) cells in luciferase assay. It is also suitable to use as an additive in Dulbecco′s modified eagle medium (DMEM) for transwell migration assay, wound‐healing assay and cell proliferation assay.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) signaling participates in various cellular processes. It is also associated with neurological disorders, inflammation and cancer.

The LPA1 receptor, one of the six characterized G protein-coupled receptors (LPA1-6) through which lysophosphatidic acid acts, is likely involved in promoting normal emotional behaviours. Current data suggest that the LPA-LPA1-receptor pathway may be involved in mediating the negative consequences

Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) is a ligand for LPA(1-3) of the endothelial differentiation gene family G-protein-coupled receptors, and LPA(4-8) is related to the purinergic family G-protein-coupled receptor. Because the structure-activity relationship (SAR) of GPR92/LPA(5) is limited and whether LPA is its
