Biochem/physiol Actions

Polyethylene glycol (PEG)-lipid conjugates are used extensively to improve circulation times for liposome encapsulated drugs. It promotes sustained injectable delivery system for insulin and superoxide dismutase. Cationic liposomes incorporating PEG-lipid is useful as carriers for oligonucleotides resulting in enhanced uptake by cells.
