Diphenhydramine N-oxide is a major metabolite of diphenhydramine. Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine sold over the counter under the trade name Benadryl and in other over the counter medications such as Tylenol PM, Advil PM, and Excedrin PM. Dihydramine is also consumed recreationally as a euphoriant and a deliriant.
