General description

A Certified Spiking Solution® suitable for use in HPLC/UV or mass spectrometry-based lofepramine testing applications in clinical toxicology, forensic analysis, prescription monitoring or urine drug testing. Lofepramine is a third generation tricyclic antidepressant utilized throughout Europe and Japan for the treatment of major depression. Therapeutic drug monitoring is performed for lofepramine due to significant drug-drug interactions with alcohol, antiepileptics, antihistamines, anxiolytics, MAOIs, and nitrates.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Lofepramine is an antidepressant; serotonin and norepinephrine re-uptake inhibitor (SNRI).
