General description

LB Lennox broth, also known simply as LB Lennox, is a variation of the standard Luria-Bertani (LB) broth used in microbiology for growing bacterial cultures. 10g Tryptone, 5g Yeast Extract, 5g NaCl, pH Adjusted to 7.0 +/- 0.1

  • Bacterial Cultivation: Like standard LB broth, LB Lennox is used to grow a wide range of bacteria, including E. coli. It's commonly used in laboratory settings for routine culturing.
  • Recombinant DNA Work: It is used for growing bacterial strains that harbor plasmids, especially in cloning and protein expression experiments.
  • General Research: Suitable for various microbiological studies, including antibiotic sensitivity tests and metabolic assays.
