General description

32 kDa calculated
PD-1 (Programmed cell death protein 1, CD279) is a single-pass type 1 transmembrane protein that contains an Ig-like V-type domain on the extracellular region and a tyrosine-based motif on the intracellular region. PD-1 functions as an immunoreceptor that is activated by the PD-L1 ligand. PD-1 is expressed on the surface of activated T- and B-cells. It plays an inhibitory role on T-cell function, and may block T-cell—mediated events such as the proliferation of lymphocytes and the secretion of cytokines. PD-1 may therefore negatively regulate immune responses, and disruption of PD-1 function may affect tolerance.

High-grade urothelial cancer contains intrinsic molecular subtypes that exhibit differences in underlying tumor biology and can be divided into luminal-like and basal-like subtypes. We describe here the first subtype-specific murine models of bladder cancer and show that Upk3a-CreERT2; Trp53L/L; PtenL/L;
