General description

Kills growing cells by interfering with the terminal reaction in bacterial wall synthesis. Active against Gram-negative bacteria. Inactivated by lactamases. Suitable for use in research that uses ampicillin-resistant plasmids.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Aqueous stock solutions are stable for up to 1 month at -20°C. Product is heat-resistant and stable between pH 2 and 11.
