General description
Anti-Apolipoprotein A-II, goat polyclonal, recognizes human apolipoprotein A-II. Does not cross-react with other apolipoproteins. It is validated for immunoelectrophoresis and immunoprecipitation.
Goat polyclonal antibody supplied as diluted serum that has been defibrinated, delipidized and adsorbed by solid phase chromatography. Recognizes the apoplipoprotein-II protein.
Immunogen
Human
purified human apolipoprotein A-II
Application
Immunoelectrophoresis (see comments)
Immunoprecipitation (see comments)
Immunoprecipitation (see comments)
Packaging
Please refer to vial label for lot-specific concentration.
Physical form
Serum diluted in 500 mM NaCl, 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5.
Preparation Note
Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-20°C).
Other Notes
Monospecific as determined by immunoelectrophoresis (immunoprecipitation) against 2X pooled human serum. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.

It is well accepted that HDL has the ability to reduce risks for several chronic diseases. To gain insights into the functional properties of HDL, it is critical to understand the HDL structure in detail. To understand interactions between the

The contribution of apolipoprotein A1 (APOA1), the major apolipoprotein of high-density lipoprotein (HDL), to endothelium-dependent vasodilatation is unclear, and there is little information regarding endothelial receptors involved in this effect. Ecto-F1 -ATPase is a receptor for APOA1, and its activity

ATP-binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1) mediates the lipidation of exchangeable apolipoproteins, the rate-limiting step in the formation of high density lipoproteins (HDL). We previously demonstrated that HDL oxidized ex vivo by peroxidase-generated tyrosyl radical (tyrosylated HDL, tyrHDL) increases the availability
