General description
A cell-permeable sulfonylpiperazine compound that is shown to boost the surface expression of cellular F508del-CFTR in a time- and dose-dependent manner and help restore CFTR function in F508del-CFTR-expressing cells (Effective concentration 10 µM). Evidence indicates that a correction of trafficking at the level of ER coupled with a transient increase of cellular cGMP due to PDEV (Cat. Nos. 524715 and 524738 ) inhibition as part of the cellular mechanism that accounts for the observed pharmacological effects of KM11060.
