General description

Native IgG2 from human myeloma plasma. Human IgG2 possessing a kappa (κ) light chain. Purified from human myeloma plasma.

Physical form

In 150 mM NaCl, 20 mM phosphate buffer, pH 7.4.

Preparation Note

Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-20°C).
Prepared from plasma that was shown by certified tests to be nonreactive for HBsAg and negative for antibodies to HCV, HBc, HIV-1, and HIV-2.

Analysis Note

Single arc by IEP.

Other Notes

The heavy chain of myeloma IgGs may appear as either a single or double band on gel electrophoresis. Prepared from plasma that was shown by certified tests to be nonreactive for HBsAg and negative for antibodies to HCV, HBc, HIV-1, and HIV-2. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.
