General description

This product has been discontinued.

We are offering NBI 31772 hydrate (Cat. No. N8289) as a possible alternative. Please read the alternative product documentation carefully and contact technical service if you need additional information.

A non-peptide ligand that exhibits high-affinity (Ki ~ 1 - 17 nM) towards all six human insulin-like growth factor-I binding proteins (IGFBPs). Displaces insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) from the IGF-I:IGFBP complex in 3T3 fibroblasts; however, it does not interact with the IGF receptors.

A non-peptide ligand derived from the transformation of L-3,4-dihydroxy-phenylalanine that exhibits high affinity binding to all six human insulin-like growth factor-I binding proteins (IGFGPs) (Ki = 3.36 nM for IGFBP-1, 1.18 nM for IGFBP-2, 5.64 nM for IGFBP-3, 1.54 nM for IGFBP-4, 3.90 nM for IGFBP-5, and 16.6 nM for IGFBP-6). Inhibits insulin-like growth factor (IGF-I) induced cell proliferation in 3T3 fibroblasts through the displacement of IGF-I from the IGF-I:GFBP complex. However, it does not interact with IGF receptors.
