General description

Each 175 mg tablet contains 5 mg of p-Nitrophenyl Phosphate, Disodium Salt (Cat. No. 4876) plus an inert filler. Dissolve one tablet in 5 ml of 10 mM diethanolamine, pH 9.5 containing 500 µM MgCl2, to prepare a 1 mg/ml solution.
Excellent substrate for alkaline phosphatase-based ELISA assays. Produces a yellow soluble end product that can be read at 405 nm to 410 nm. Both kinetic and endpoint determinations can be performed. Each tablet contains 5 mg of p-Nitrophenyl Phosphate, Disodium Salt (cat. no. 4876) plus an inert filler.
Note: 1 each = 100 tablets.

Preparation Note

Dissolve one tablet in 5 ml of of 10 mM diethanolamine, pH 9.5 containing 0.5 mM MgCl₂ to prepare a 1 mg/ml stock solution.
Unstable in solution; reconstitute just prior to use. Following reconstitution, aliquot and refrigerate (4°C).
