General description
A positive allosteric modulator selective for AMPA receptors. Slows down AMPA receptor deactivation rate without altering the agonist potency. A leading candidate of ampakine nootropic for cognitive enhancement. Widely used in studies in a variety of brain functions (i.e. learn and memory, cognition) and disorders (depression, anxiety disorder, Alzheimer′s disease, and aging).
