Synonym(s):
4-(4-Fluorophenyl)-2-(4-methylsulfonylphenyl)-5-(4-pyridyl)-1H-imidazole, p38 MAP Kinase Inhibitor XII
General description
A cell permeable, reversible, and ATP-competitive sulfone metabolite of the p38 MAP kinase inhibitor, SB 203580 (Cat. No. 559389). Potently inhibits p38 MAP kinase (IC50 = 30 nM). Also inhibits IL-1 production in human monocytes (IC50 = 200 nM).
Potently inhibits p38 kinase (IC50 = 30 nM) and inhibits IL-1 production in human monocytes (IC50 = 200 nM).
Biochem/physiol Actions
Target IC50:30 nM and 200 nM against p38 kinase and IL-1 production, respectively, in human monocytes.
