General description

A cell permeable, reversible, and ATP-competitive sulfone metabolite of the p38 MAP kinase inhibitor, SB 203580 (Cat. No. 559389). Potently inhibits p38 MAP kinase (IC50 = 30 nM). Also inhibits IL-1 production in human monocytes (IC50 = 200 nM).
Potently inhibits p38 kinase (IC50 = 30 nM) and inhibits IL-1 production in human monocytes (IC50 = 200 nM).

Biochem/physiol Actions

Target IC50:30 nM and 200 nM against p38 kinase and IL-1 production, respectively, in human monocytes.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for 6 months at -20°C.
