General description

Cyclohexane is a colorless, flammable liquidwith a pungent odor, that is less toxic than benzene. It is a water-insolubleand non-corrosive solvent. It is commonly used as a solvent in variouschromatography techniques such as liquid chromatography (LC), gaschromatography (GC), reverse-high-performance liquid chromatography, and HPLC.

Application

Cyclohexane can be used as a solvent in MASE(Matrix-Assisted Solvent Extraction) for the extraction of volatile organiccompounds (VOCs).
