General description
100 kDa
Glutamate receptor 1 (AMPA) belongs to the glutamate-gated ion channel and binds AMPA, glutamate and kainate. L-Glutamate is the major excitatory neurotransmitter in the mammalian CNS, acting through both ligand gated ion channels (ionotropic receptors; composed of subunits GluR1-4) and G-protein coupled (metabotropic) receptors. The AMPA glutamate receptors mediate fast synaptic transmission in the CNS.
Immunogen
Epitope: phosphoSer 845
Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids surrounding the phosphoSer845 of rat GluR1.
Application
Anti-Glutamate Receptor 1 Antibody, phosphoSer 845 is an antibody against Glutamate Receptor 1 for use in WB.

Previously, a learning-free measure was used to demonstrate that chronic food restriction (FR) increases the reward magnitude of a wide range of abused drugs. Moreover, a variety of striatal neuroadaptations were detected in FR subjects, some of which are known

With respect to feeding, insulin is typically thought of as a satiety hormone, acting in the hypothalamus to limit ingestive behavior. However, accumulating evidence suggests that insulin also has the ability to alter dopamine release in the striatum and influence

When ad libitum-fed rats undergo cocaine place preference conditioning (CPP) but are switched to food restriction for testing, CPP becomes resistant to extinction and correlates with phosphorylation of α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid (AMPA) receptor GluA1 at Ser845 in nucleus accumbens (NAc) core.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are important regulators of localized mRNA translation in neuronal dendrites. The presence of RNA-induced silencing complex proteins in these compartments and the dynamic miRNA expression changes that occur in response to neuronal stimulation highlight their importance in synaptic
