General description

Purified mouse monoclonal antibody generated by immunizing RBF/Dn mice with the specified immunogen and fusing splenocytes with NS-1/FOX-NY mouse myeloma cells (see application references). Recognizes the α3 integrin subunit.
Recognizes the α3-subunit of the α31 integrin complex protein in human mononuclear cells.
This Anti-Integrin α₃ Mouse mAb (P1B5) is validated for use in Cell Inhibition Assays, FC, IF, IP for the detection of Integrin α₃.

Immunogen

Human
human mononuclear cells

Application

Cell Inhibition Assays (1-5 µg/ml, see application references)

Flow Cytometry (1-5 µg/ml)

Immunoblotting (not recommended)

Immunofluorescence (1-5 µg/ml)

Immunoprecipitation (1-2 µg/sample)

Paraffin Sections (not recommended)

Warning

Toxicity: Standard Handling (A)

Physical form

Lyophilized from a volatile buffer, 100 µg BSA.

Reconstitution

We recommend resuspending the lyophilized antibody with sterile PBS, pH 7.4, or sterile 20 mM Tris-saline (20 mM Tris containing 0.15 M NaCl), pH 7.4, to yield a final concentration of 100 µg/ml; product will be more stable if 0.1% sodium azide is included (do not add azide if antibody is to be used with viable cells). Lyophilized antibody should be resuspended at 4°C with occasional gentle mixing for at least 2 h. Following reconstitution, refrigerate (4°C) for short-term storage (with azide) or aliquot and freeze (-20°C) for short-term storage.

Biologically active ligands (e.g., RGDS from fibronectin) play critical roles in the development of chemically defined biomaterials. However, recent decades have shown only limited progress in discovering novel extracellular matrix-protein-derived ligands for translational applications.
