General description
Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is a potent lymphoid cell growth factor which exerts its biological activity primarily on T cells. Human IL-2 is a 15-16 kDa protein containing 159 amino acid residues. This preparation contains both monomeric and dimeric forms of IL-2.
Application
For most in vitro applications, IL-2 exerts its biological activity in the concentration range of 0.1 to 1.0 ng/mL. Responding cells are (partial list): T-cells, NK cells, LAK cells.
Preparation Note
The lyophilized IL-2, though stable at room temperature, is best stored at-20°C. After a quick spin reconstitute in 100mM acetic acid to a concentration of 0.1-1 mg/mL. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored. Reconstituted IL-2 should be stored in undiluted aliquots at -20°C for up to six months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Our study aimed to investigate the effect of cancer-targeting gene-virotherapy and cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cell immunotherapy on lung cancer. CIK cells were obtained from peripheral blood mononuclear cells using interferon (IFN)-γ, interleukin (IL)-2, and CD3 monoclonal antibody. The CIK cells
