General description

B-lymphocyte antigen CD19 (CD19), also known as Differentiation antigen CD19, is a transmembrane glycoprotein with two extracellular C2-type domains and is a critical signal transduction molecule that regulates B lymphocyte development, activation, and differentiation. CD19 expression is restricted to B cells, being absent from T cells, monocytes, and granulocytes. The CD19 antigen appears early during B cell maturation, probably at late pro-B cell stage around the time of Ig heavy chain rearrangement. It then persists during all stages of B cell maturation and is lost upon terminal differentiation to plasma cells.

Immunogen

Mouse CD19-expressing K562 human erythroleukemia cells.

Application

Anti-CD19 antibody (mouse), PE/Cy5, clone 6D5 is a highly specific rat monoclonal antibody & that targets CD19 & has been tested in Flow Cytometry.
Research Category
Inflammation & Immunology
Research Sub Category
Cytokines & Cytokine Receptors

Quality

The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated with PE/Cy5 under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated PE/Cy5 and unconjugated antibody. Cy3, Cy5, Cy5.5 and Cy7 are subject to proprietary rights of Cytiva and Carnegie Mellon University and made and sold under license from Cytiva.

Flow Cytometry Analysis: 0.25 μg of this antibody detected CD19 in one million C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes.
