General description
LIM Kinase 1 (LIMK1) is a protein kinase that plays an important role in cellular functions like cell motility and growth cone actin dynamics. LIMK1 contains one PDZ domain and two LIM domains which mediate protein to protein inteactions. It is widely expressed in the adult and fetal nervous system with the highest levels being found in the cerebral cortex. Mutations in LIMK1 have been associated with cardiovascular and musculo-skeletal abnormalities.
~72 kDa observed
Immunogen
GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to human Limk1.
Application
Detect Limk1 using this Anti-Limk1 Antibody, clone 6C3.1 validated for use in western blotting & IHC.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution from a representative lot detected Limk1 in human thalamus and human cerebral cortex tissue.
