Mastl is a serine/threonine kinase that regulates mitosis entry and maintenance during M phase through the inactivation of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A). Mastl is also thought to be involved in megakaryocyte differentiation and the diseaseThrombocytopenia 2 (THC2).
