General description
UTP is a 100 mM solution of the lithium salt (pH 7).
Contents:
UTP, lithium salt, 100 mM
Contents:
UTP, lithium salt, 100 mM
Application
UTP, lithium salt, is suitable for applications such as in vitro RNA transcription.
Biochem/physiol Actions
UTP lithium salt acts as a biased agonist in activation of P2γ receptor, a G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) and results in the elevation of cytosolic calcium levels.
Analysis Note
Typical analysis:
- ≥98% UTP (HPLC), ≤1.5% UDP (HPLC), ≤0.5% UMP (HPLC).
- Tested for the absence of RNases according to the current Quality Control procedures.
Other Notes
1 mM UTP = 9.9 A260 units
For life science research only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

The rates of translation elongation or termination in eukaryotes are modulated through cooperative molecular interactions involving mRNA, the ribosome, aminoacyl- and nascent polypeptidyl-tRNAs, and translation factors. To investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying these processes, we developed an in vitro translation
