Application

Sodium phosphate dibasic heptahydrate has been used for preparing phosphate buffered saline which in turn is utilized for identifying the small molecular weight analytes to extremely low concentrations in air or water by using microfabricated protein-containing poly (ethylene glycol) hydrogel arrays. It has also been used for preparing isotonic phosphate buffer which is utilized in cell culture of Jurkat T cells.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Sodium phosphate dibasic is an important component of running buffer of denaturing gel electrophoresis. It induces glomerular calcification as well as other nephrotic syndrome in Sprague-Dawley rats.

Other Notes

A -D suffix exists for administrative purposes only. All -D packages are 100% the same product, same quality, same specification as the package sizes previously sold without a -D.
