General description

Ditridecyl phthalate is a high molecular weight compound belonging to the class of phthalic acid esters (PAEs), which are widely used in the manufacture of plastics, coatings, and cosmetics industries. Ditridecyl phthalate is used in the manufacture of wires and cables.

Application

Ditridecyl phthalate may be used as an analytical standard in the following:
  • Investigating its effect on the activity of estrogen receptors including ERα, ERβ and the androgen receptor AR.
  • Evaluating its developmental toxicity potential in prenatal Sprague-Dawley rats.

It may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in food matrices using gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
